Beating Slot Machines – IGT Vision Series

This is not a worthless article promising you some miracle way to win on a slot machine. This is a very real and very proven science. To help understand how this is possible please realize, you are not beating the actual casino with these machines. You are actually just taking money left behind by the tourist in front of you. Now for this reason, these machines are bad for casinos and quite honestly not many are remaining. That said, you will find them from time to time so why not understand?

In the late 90′s IGT came out with a series of slots called Visions. Most of these machines, but not all, had a video monitor above the reels. These bonuses were very short term bonuses making it possible to gage when they were above 100% expectation on the return. To make a long story short, these machines paid out less on the line and made up for it on the video bonus. Hence, unknowing players would play them and most times leave them before clearing the bonus. If they left the bonus high enough, it was an actual positive expectation.

 

Here are a few IGT Vision machines and information on how to play them accordingly.

Wild Cherry Pie

You need at least 42 cherries filled on the pie and at least 20 cherries in the basket. Bet one credit until you completely fill the pie. You will get 1 credit per cherry in the basket on top of a bonus behind the cherry pie. The more cherries in the pie when you find it means even more of a positive expectation overall.

 

Diamond Thief

The Diamond Thief is basically the same math and program as the Cherry Pie. So the strategy is pretty much the same with no variation.

Bonus Spin

You will have to watch someone spin the machine until they actually go into the bonus mode to actually see where the bonus stands. Play when at least 2 of the sevens only need 1 more seven to be full. You will always bet one credit as 2 can really hurt your positive expectation on this particular machine.

Fishin for Cash

Another variation of a Diamond Mine. Once you understand the IGT Visions, you will be able to recognize them all as the same concept applies on several. Basically always a form of 3 shafts, 10 items fill up each shaft and pay 10 credits when filled.

Triple Diamond

This is a pic of a triple diamond mine, and for the most part they play the same as a double diamond mine and a fishin for cash machine. Bet one coin when you find the bonus in these situations. Any single column has 9 diamonds in it, or any 2 columns have at least a 8 diamonds in one and 6 in the other for a total of 14 in the 2 columns. Anytime the 3 columns together total 17 diamonds you can also play. Play any scenario until none of the scenarios are left. Meaning as you play one scenario it is possible for a new winning scenario to pop back up.

Good Times

This one is as simple as it gets. Anytime the X multiplier is on the 8x/64x you can fire away! You fire two coins at it until you hit the x bonus, never a 1 coin play. This is a max coin machine only. Even though this machine can be very volatile it is a very positive expectation machine in the long run.
