The two larger areas for poker now in Florida are Tampa and Miami. In Tampa the 5-10 seems to be the weaker of the good games. The rake is slightly higher in Tampa than Miami, but at 5-10 and higher limits seem to be good enough to fade the rake.
In Miami the 5-10 also seems to be the most abundant, weaker games. In Miami they also play a $25 – $25 PLO game most days. The blinds are set this way to avoid red chips. The games are definitely above average as far as weaker players go. In holdem it is pretty regular to see players calling pre flop with a ace/baby kicker, flopping an ace and going all the way to the end. Also if you are a good HU player this is probably this biggest value of it all so far. It is common to see big money walking in at any time. Big money that has little poker skill.
