State gaming regulators announced this week that starting in the month of February nexdt year, Nevada will begin accepting online poker applications from companies.

Mark Lipparelli, Chairman of the Nevada State Gaming Control Board, announced last week during the U.S. Online Gaming Law Conference. Nevada seems to be moving foward while the push for legalization and regulation of online poker at the national level is in early stages and still uncertain.

Companys that already hold a license would be able to gain the poker license easier, where full investigations for companies new to the state would be ran before being allowed to obtain an online poker license.

Companys will be expected to comply with a set of regulations and technical specs issued by Nevada in order to obtain a license. This is set for December but delays are expected for further revisions. The Country will be waiting anxiously to see the results in this possible precedent setting actions in Nevada.
